Post-Retrieval Update

The retrieval on Monday, April 14th was a success! The doctor extracted 27 eggs total from my now grapefruit-sized ovaries! Only 12 of the 27 were successfully fertilized, but I am told that any amount in the "double-diggits" is exciting! The transfer will either be tomorrow (Thursday, April 17th) or Saturday (April 19th). The date of conception would still be Monday, April 14th, so my due date will be about 40 weeks from that if I do end up pregnant. The official pregnancy test will be on Monday, April 28th and I will have blood drawn every day that week to make sure that the embryos are developing naturally and that my body is adjusting to the pregnancy.
